Welcome! My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate place where counseling clients from all over San Diego can gain encouragement and support as they navigate through challenges in their lives. For over a decade I've focused on helping people like yourself. Maybe you are going through a career change, creative block, transition of some sort, or mental health concern, there is hope, recovery, freedom, and growth! I believe in my heart and soul that it is never to late for anyone to make lasting change, heal old wounds, set new goals, and develop new healthier patterns. Together we can work collaboratively to create change and maybe find some peace, or answers for your next chapter.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, 49746) as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC, 1730) in San Diego, California. I hold a Master’s Degree from Chapman University in Psychology and I have worked in the social service field since 2004.
I treat children, adults and seniors, couples, and families. I have a broad range of experience with depression, anxiety, and mood disorders and have a special focus with grief and loss, life transitions, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. Some individuals can experience severe symptoms and have post traumatic stress disorder commonly known as PTSD. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. I use multiple modalities- specifically Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness interventions.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, you will be able to recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
By applying traditional cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy approaches we can address more challenging issues that are not allowing you to live a meaningful life.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, come to terms with changes in their relationship, or find a resolution for challenges that have occurred. Therapy sessions are conducted as a neutral and supportive place to discuss issues, find solutions, or come to a place of understanding and resolution.
